M1 is honored with consecutive Diamond Awards from the FAA

2/7/2014, Denton, TX – M1 received the FAA’s highest honor for maintenance training, the Diamond Award, for Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards Program in 2012 and 2013 on our C-12/UC-35 Life-Cycle Contractor Support (LCCS) program. The FAA recognized M1 for committing significant resources into aviation training and safe practices. In order to qualify for the prestigious award, at least 90% of the organization’s eligible Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) must pass specialized, continuous training in aircraft systems, regulations, and FAA rules over the course of a year.

M1’s technicians are among the most trained and talented in the industry, largely due to our commitment to continuous improvement and our involvement in programs such as the FAA’s AMT Awards Program. We have merged our best practices and Mission First attitude with the FAA’s formula of knowledge + professionalism = safety to improve maintenance practices, technical knowledge, and aviation safety.

M1 Support Services certified AS9110 A and ISO 9001:2008

3/28/2013, Denton, TX - M1 Support Services, a global provider of uncompromising mission support for the ever-changing needs of U.S. services and programs, today received their certifications for both AS9110 A and ISO 9001:2008. The certificate represents the culmination of many months of hard work and preparation and is recognized worldwide as a sign of M1's commitment to quality.

AS9110 is a quality management system standard for aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul organizations (MROs) in the aerospace industry. The standard was developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) in response to increasing demands for additional requirements to address MRO-specific concerns on safety, reliability, and airworthiness. AS9110 provides additional criteria for the maintenance and repair of private, commercial, and military aircraft.

This standard is complementary to AS9100 and is based on the ISO 9001 quality management system. AS9110 includes close to 100 requirements for suppliers, airline companies, aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), FAA-certified repair stations, and regulatory agencies. AS9110 takes a process-based approach by focusing on identifying key processes and achieving continual improvement.
